Chatou

                     hatou is situated in the department of Yvelines, no far from Versailles, on a pretty meander of the Seine.

Restored, the inn of the Father Fournaise, dear to Auguste Renoir, always exists on the Impressionist's island.

In 1881, Renoir got all his friends on the balcony together, under the blind, to paint " The Lunch of Boaters ".          Aline is in the foreground with her dog. The Father Fournaise is behind her. Alphonsine Fournaise, his daughter, leaned to the guardrail.
